No Cell Phone Signs
| Businesses use No Cell Phone Signs at cash registers to keep cell phones off while customers are paying. Thus transactions are more expedient and accurate.
Myth #3: I'm not bothering anyone if I'm talking on my cell phone while I'm paying at the cash register. Myth Buster: A cell phone should not be used or answered whenever someone is paying at the cash register, ordering, or while interacting with another person in a place of business. A cell phone conversation distracts the patron causing a delay in transaction time, possible transaction errors, and is discourteous to both the person at the cash register, or order counter, as well as to the people in line behind them.
Sandy from Hanover, Michigan; No Cell Phone signs put me in control. "I read
that 83% of people, said that cell phones should not be used inside of a
business, while at a cash register, or at an order counter. My No Cell Phones at cash register signs help me give
customers the courtesy they want."

Cell Phone Etiquette While At The Cash Register
1. Always hang up your cell phone when you are at an order or service counter, or a cash register.
2. Switch your cell phone's ring mode to vibrate.
3. Utilize your cell phone's voice mail feature.
4 Let others go in front of you if you need to complete your call and you are
the next to be waited upon, or the next to pay.
5. If you must complete your call, do so before you reach the service counter or
cash register, or take your call outside.
6. Always respect a business' request, either visually, with a no cell phone
sign, or verbally to turn your cell phone off.
What has become of human interaction and common
courtesy for others? Cell phones are used at cash
registers, gyms, business counters, doctor's offices,
theaters, schools, concerts, and virtually any other place
you can think of.
Cell phones should never be used or answered when
at a cash register or when interacting with another person, and should only be used outside of most places of business. Calls should be
completed before stepping into a place of business or by
stepping outside to receive an incoming call. By extending
a few simple considerations towards others, we can maintain
a balance between cellular use and personal space.
