they get to the counter, I just skip to the next person in line while pointing to the No Cell Phone Use at

Phone Etiquette At The Counter
1. Always hang up your cell phone when you are at an order or service counter.
2. Switch your cell phone's ring mode to vibrate.
3. Utilize your mobile phone's voice mail feature.
4. Let others go in front of you if you need to complete your call and you are the next to be waited upon.
5. If you must complete your call, do so before you reach the service counter or window, or take your call outside.
6. Always respect a business' request, either visually, with no cell phone signs, or verbally to turn your cellular telephone off.
People are answering their cellular telephones virtually everywhere. What has become of human interaction and common
courtesy for others? Cell phones are used at cash
registers, gyms, business counters, doctor's offices,
theaters, schools, concerts, and virtually any other place
you can think of.
Mobile telephones should never be used or answered when
at a cash register or when interacting with another person, and should only be used outside of most places of business. Calls should be
completed before stepping into a place of business or by
stepping outside to receive an incoming call. By extending
a few simple considerations towards others, we can maintain
a balance between cellular use and personal space.
